Bangladeshi

Black in colour, white spot on the forehead and tail-switch in some cases. Curled and short horns. Indigenous Bangladeshi buffaloes of the River type are found in the South-West.

In the remaining parts of the country they are either Swamp or crosses of exotic breeds: Nili-Ravi and Murrah type.
