About Buffalopedia

India is world largest milk producer, with 22% of global production followed by the USA ,China, Pakistan and Brazil. In last 3 decades, world milk production has increased from 530 Million tones in (1988 -89) to 937 Million tones in 2021-22 (76.80%). Since 1970s, most of expansion in milk production has been in South Asia. In 2020-21, milk production in Asia Rose to 379 Million tones , mainly from India, China, Pakistan and Turkey.

Buffalopedia is aimed at providing an internet accessible interactive multimedia instructional resource that will allow different stake holders in buffalo farming to use resources across the country in an integrated, interactive learning manner on the internet. It will provide a platform for both information retrieval and knowledge sharing among different stakeholders in buffalo farming from anywhere in the world
